Q: On which consoles will the game be released?

A:
It is not only released on Steam via PC for Windows 64 and 32 bit. We also are going to support Liniux.

Q: Will Evolvation support Virtual Reality?

A:

We think about supporting VR. But who knows!

Q: How can I get the game?

A:
You can get the game on Steam.

Q: Will the game contain real-life purchase abilities in order to gain perks?

A:

No, we think it is not fair for other players if other player invest more money than others. We may gain more revenue with these options. But our main goal is to develop a fun multiplayer game. We refuse to ruin the gameplay for our own winnings. Our motto: We win if you think the game is fun to play!

But still perks can be obtained buy purchasing new weapons, spaceships, upgrades etc. with in-game currency (Which is in bytes!). The in-game currency can be obtained by:

– Collecting data spheres(A in-game object);
– Completing achievements;
– Winning a game (Team or individual);

Q: When will the game be released?

A:

We released the game, but we are still developing.

Q: Is this just another space game like Star Citizen, Elite dangerous, Everspace, etc.?

A:

No this is not just another space game such as Star Citizen, Elite dangerous, Everspace, etc..

When we looked to other space games, we concluded the following:

      • Most of the games do not support multiplayer.
      • If multiplayer is supported, we miss actual player to player interaction. It feels like a major world where you play a single player game with the occasional greeting of an other player.
      • In some games it is just traveling from one location to another location (We have read that some journeys wherein nothing happens take more than 20 minutes!).
      • A lot of the new games require a ridiculous minimum system performance.
      • Most of the games are only on PC.
      • It all takes a whole lot of money to develop.
      • Some games give players advantages if they invest more real-life money.
      • You cannot play with your friends that invest a lot more time than you because they have significantly better stats.
      • A lot DLC’s and updates which are not significantly game-changing require extra pay of the player.

So how are we going to do this different?

      • Most of the games do not support multiplayer.
            • We do support multiplayer! Multiplayer is awesome!
      • If multiplayer is supported, we miss actual player to player interaction. It feels like a major world where you play a single player game with the occasional greeting of an other player.
            • Evolvation in an arena based multiplayer game like Unreal tournament, call of duty(multiplayer), Quake, etc.. This means that a continuous player to player interaction is inevitable. Other players are the central game elements!
      • In some games it is just traveling from one location to another location (We have read that some journeys wherein nothing happens take more than 20 minutes!).
            • Since it is an arena based multiplayer game, the players are restricted with level bounds. All maps are designed for optimal interaction, it is nearly impossible to not have an interaction within 30 seconds!
      • A lot of the new games require a ridiculous minimum system performance.
            • We aim to support low and high-end systems. We do not aim to compete with the graphics of star citizen. Our goal is to let much people as possible enjoy a fun, but still an excellent graphical game. We do not want to rule a large group out by requiring very high system specs.
      • Most of the games are only on PC.
            • We aim to release the game on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. But it depends on the budget. Our main priority is PC. We cannot guarantee PS4 and Xbox One support. But we are pretty sure that we can fit it within our budget!
      • It all takes a whole lot of money to develop.
            • We have seen game developers burn million and millions of cash. We are doing this differently. We plan efficient and effectively. We do not have a meeting for each single detail which does not even add or lose something to the gameplay. Also, we invest a lot of our own money to develop this game. We just want to develop a fun game to play, with that in mind we are capable to invest our own time and money to make this happen. We just need a little help, that is why we have started the kickstarter.
      • Some games give players advantages if they invest more real-life money.
            • We think it ruins the gameplay for a lot of people. It is simply not fair! So no, we are not going to do this. We think it is not fair for other players if other player invest more money than others. We may gain more revenue with these options. But our main goal is to develop a fun multiplayer game. We refuse to ruin the gameplay for our own winnings. Our motto: We win if you think the game is fun to play!
      • You cannot play with your friends that invest a lot more time than you because they have significantly better stats.
            • In Evolvation, you can! We understand that you might have a job and cannot play for 40 hours per week. Of course, with our extensive upgrading system you can get advantages to other players. But we aim to let these gaps in advantages to be “just right” so that people that cannot or do not want to play for 40 hours a week, it will still be fun for them to play the game.
      • A lot of DLC’s and updates which are not significantly game-changing require extra pay of the player.
            • We will not ask for any extra money if we give a non-significant update. We do not think that we want to ask money for any update! But we cannot guarantee this. If the players really want an upgrade and have a lot of special requests and we do implement these requests. We might ask a small compensation. It totally depends if we can afford it or not.
